Objectives: The Assistant Accountant will be managing personal accounts and investment portfolios.

Main responsibilities:
– Record investment activities, including conducting audits, preparing valuation materials, managing aspects related to general ledger accounting
– Designing and controlling systems of records, auditing books, and preparing financial statements
– Providing tax advice and preparing tax returns when necessary including advising on when to file to avoid penalties
– Handle personal bookkeeping such as recording transactions as they occur
– Review financial records for accuracy, efficiency and compliance with current laws
– Prepare financial statements and advise on where money may be saved or revenue increased
