The Junior Sport and Wellness Specialist will be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Sport and Wellness Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will support the planning, development and delivery of wellness initiatives such as the popular FITClub and health assessment consultations, fitness instruction leadership and contribute to “wellness” focused events.

The Junior Sport and Wellness Specialist will demonstrate and advise on the safe and effective use of equipment through instruction sessions and ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to by visitors at all times and promote a healthy lifestyle to students, employees and alumni in alignment with department initiatives.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the “Falcon’” brand thru children’s sport programming and holiday sport camps, tournaments and other community facing initiatives.

The successful candidate will assist in planning and promotion of campus sport programs and events in coordination with Sport and Wellness colleagues, student representatives and management, identify, and orchestrate initiatives in support of the strategy.

The Junior Sport and Wellness Specialist will provide leadership/sport development expertise to a variety of the college’s female sports programs and will assist in the collection and evaluation of surveys and feedback forms received and maintain statistics of activities for evaluation and review purposes, to contribute to Sport and Wellness reporting requirements.

As directed, the Specialist will liaise with other post-secondary institutions to organize and coordinate intercollegiate activities and will provide oversight of assigned sport and wellness activities to ensure the safe and appropriate use of facilities.

The successful candidate will oversee assigned inventory checks to ensure all equipment is recorded, monitored and maintained.
